My love for dance gives me a huge stage presence I know will never go fade. I’m always looking for ways the improve my technique. Hip Hop truly inspires me because not only is it a genre of dance, there are multiple styles within Hip Hop. I feel like I can be me and show my personality! There is a huge difference from origins of Hip Hop to where it is now. And, Hip Hop has not only made a huge contribution to all dancers but for African Americans dancers it is extremely motivational.
Being in Ciara’s music video would be an incredible introduction into the industry. More importantly, I would have the opportunity to be guided by two legendary mentors! Having this opportunity at age 15 would be an insane start to my dance career. The opportunity to even be able to compete in this contest is a privilege!
To start, I would give money to a small foundation called Dancers Give Back that’s for cancer research and patient support! I would definitely give some money to my parents for the amount of money they’ve spent on me and my siblings to do what we love. As well, I would donate to programs for dance studios in Ethiopia since that’s where I was born!
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
