My dance style blends urban street hip hop, heels, and girly sexiness, rooted in my early foundation in tap dance. I was told growing up that one could never make it professionally in dance if they didn't practice every style. I disagreed and I'm working on proving this wrong. I believe in embracing my unique style and focusing on the areas that resonate most with me. As a student in one of the most expensive cities, Toronto, I struggle with tuition, rent, and the high costs of gluten-free groceries due to my celiac disease. Eating well is a challenge with these expenses, so the $20,000 would be a huge relief. I would also donate a portion to help less fortunate kids pursue the arts, as dance classes have been one of the best gifts my parents ever gave me. It would mean so much to give back and support others in their artistic journeys.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
