My favorite dance genre is jazz and contemporary. I’ve always been inspired by the old-school Broadway jazz. The iconic Bob Fosse, Gwen Verdon, Chita Rivera and Sutton Foster. Contemporary has my heart as well. The way movement can translate into emotions. When performing, my ultimate goal is to give the audience something to think about give them an escape. If I can positively impact an audience whether it be one or two people then I feel like I have effectively done my job.
Being in this music video would not only impact my career in a positive way. But it will give me an opportunity to perform and do what I love, sharing it with so many people.
$20,000 would give me the opportunity to pay off my school loans and focus on my career as a dancer in the industry. I currently work three survival jobs while I strive every single day to audition and take class to not only build my technique but to book a job within my love for the art. My dream is to perform.
