My style is a mix of all the experiences I’ve had while growing up, it has themes of afro, Caribbean, hip hop, alternative etc. My inspiration for dance also comes from the many people I’ve met through dance who have helped pave the way for me on my dance journey, wether it be mentors, fellow dancers or even just people who don’t dance themselves but enjoy watching.
Being in this music video would change my life is so many ways, not just for myself but for my friends, family, mentors, peers etc. My parents while living at every traditional and so I’d love to be able to use this video as an opportunity to showcase to them I can make a career out of this passion of mine. In regards to friends, mentors and peers, I feel as though this would show to everyone that my hard work is being rewarded, to show everyone who encouraged me that I was able to make it
With the $20,000 I’d put that money towards my dance training, future university plans and into a savings account. While dance is my passion and I would never trade it for anything in the world, it is a costly one, this money would be put towards furthering myself not just in dance but also in my academic life, something that might seem small but would be an important stepping stone for my future success.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
