My dance style is hiphop with extra sass. I have always wanted to be a backup dancer and preform on a stage to the music and rhythm that I love. I have been a dancer for 21 years now and have seen my image and presence as someone who is always performance ready. I always show face and ensure the audience I fully execute my vision through every bone in my body. It’s more than just dancing, it’s the way you show people how to express yourself through art.
It would feel so rewarding to me, and be a great accomplishment of mine. It’s very hard to succeed in the dance world with so many people who are wanting the same thing as you. Realizing much you have to dedicate your life and sacrifice to hopefully become a dancer is a lot process. I work a regular job and have a regular life, but this would change it completely. Dance will always be apart of me. And I will take every opportunity to showcase what I’m capable of.
I would invest half of it towards a down payment on a house, and the rest of it to help my family and friends. Everyone is going through tough times right now and I know everyone wants to help people in need, but sometimes don’t even have enough for themselves. This money could help me give back to the people who work so hard and deserve all the love back.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
