As a kid, I trained in many classical styles at my dance studio including ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, and musical theater. I currently dance for the San Jose State University Dance Team, focusing on upbeat jazz and groovy hip hop. NFL cheerleaders inspire my dancing style, as I admire their sharp movements and overall performance value.
Looking into the future, performing in a music video amongst many other talented dancers is nothing short of a dream for me. Being in Ciara's music video would be an amazing opportunity to market myself and kickstart my future career as a professional dancer for an NFL team, then a physical therapist working with athletes such as dancers. I'd also use the experience to network with dancers, choreographers, and other industry professionals.
With the $20,000, I would save it to go to medical school. The money would help me in getting closer to my ultimate goal of becoming a licensed physical therapist. Becoming a physical therapist requires a lot of education, and this money would help me invest in my future while allowing me to stay focused on my goals.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
