Thank you for supporting me in this competition. Your donations and participation will benefit the Why Not You Foundation in their mission to fight poverty through education initiatives that empower youth to lead with a why not you attitude.
My style is based in Popping, or Pop-Locking from back in the day. While I tend to mix styles from my extensive background, I get a lot of my inspiration from old school poppers like Wiggles, Jazzy J, Megatron etc. I miss my hard hitting with a feminine flare.
Being in Ciara’s video would make an immense impact on my life because I really want to formally introduce ILLana-Popz. She’s sexy, but can bang. I want to be able to showcase to the world the way that women can get dirty, and still come across as sexy and feminine. Ciara’s been showing us that duality for years… she truly embodies how I wanna present myself in this art. I wanna collaborate with a powerhouse like her to create something dynamic.
I would completely flush this into ILLana-Popz which is morphing into a creative mentorship program for the youth… especially young “Girly Popz.” This will allow me to set up my LLC, but help get the well rounded resources to mold these girls into great people and great artists. I’ve been dancing my whole life, and my mother is really curated my experience. Taught me the hustle. I want to give this gift back to the youth because this information is invaluable.
