I’m not limited to one style; I’ve done hiphop, jazz, and ballet at studios. I choreograph on my own time with lyrical and hiphop, and I love to bring character into my dances. I get lots of inspiration from dance companies and music it self, because music is where I get the emotions and feelings before translating them into movement.
I think it would get me better chances in the dance world, and I could further pursue my dreams of integrating into the professional dance world. My parents don’t see a future for me in dance and it breaks my heart when I think about having to go without it.
I could get a jumpstart on attending a performing arts college or pay for a studio dance. I could also save it in hopes of buying a personal studio so I can have better resources to grow my passion and possibly share it.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
