I am a well rounded, versatile dancer. I grew up dancing since I was 3 years old training in all styles such as ballet, jazz, hip hop, acrobatics, tap, lyrical, contemporary, modern, pom, etc. I have had many inspirations throughout my dance career. I have been so lucky to have been able to travel all over the world to attend dance conventions and competitions which always led to more inspiration from other choreographers as well as my peers and dance teachers. I owe it all to my parents.
Throughout my dancer career, my dream has always been to be a backup dancer/dance for an artist. I have been working really hard to achieve this goal of mine and learning many things along the way. I have learned how to deal with rejection and learned that not everything is guaranteed. If I were to be in Ciara’s music video I would be able to achieve this goal and inspire young dancers around the world as my biggest goal in life is to be a role model for others.
If I were to win the $20,000 I would use it to start a foundation that adds more dance therapy (DMT) in elementary schools. I graduated from college with a bachelors degree in elementary education. I have been able to observe in classrooms where they use DMT to allow students to spend a time of their day in the classroom dancing as a type of therapy, however some schools don’t have this at all or it only happens once a month. This can also be helpful with children with developmental delays
