At 11 years old i was inspired by my older sister to dance, watching her perform at her recital for her school. I immediately began teaching myself contemporary, modern, jazz, hip-hop, ballet & more all at home in my garage everyday. I keep all those styles i’ve obtained in my pocket whereas now i’d like to say my “favorite” style today is collegiate majorette !
My life, i feel & know would be impacted in the most beneficial way! It would be that extra stamp of validation & reassurance towards my craft & gift . Not only just for me, but i hope to impact my piers and those of my community. It would show that you can be black , gay , untrained professionally etc.) and still find yourself in qualified rooms full of opportunity.
I’d definitely start by giving back to my parents , & family to show the appreciation and admiration i have towards them for their unwavering support they’ve always and STILL give me day after day.
