I am newly trained, mainly self-taught band and hip-hop dancer with a love of lyrical and praise genre. As I grow as a dancer, I aspire to grow to a point where it’s more than just passion that the audience feels behind my moves but the emotions and meaning behind the moves are just as powerful and distinctively clear. I am working to become a professional tour, stage and pro-action dancer while using my story to motivate and empower my community through showing them possibilities are endl
This blessing is bigger than me. Coming from a city where dance is not really an embraced thing, knowing I was once a young girl with no way out of dangerous places, dance became more than a saving for me. There are countless other girls in that same position. This will not only elevate and inspire me to keep fighting for better but will also shine undeniable light on the possibilities of living a successful life. Even when the odds are stacked against you.
The outcomes are manifold. Starting with being able to finally open up my women’s empowerment organization and dance studio in my area to not only mentor other young people but help fund their needs and introduce a different way of life through God, dance and many other opportunities to help them find their calling. I also aim to cancel generational curses by aiming to cancel out some of my student loans God-willing.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
