I’m versatile in my training due to my love of various styles of dance. I’d say my personal style is an eclectic mix of jazz funk and hip hop, with a little Afro-Caribbean. My inspiration stems from the positive impact dance has had on my life. It’s provided me with an outlet to positively express myself and create community. Since middle school, I’ve been driven to create those communities for others. My love for my craft and my community drives my growth.
Being graced with the opportunity to be in Ciara’s music video would be groundbreaking as I’m in the foundation of my career. It would be an impressive addition to my résumé, and grant me experience and exposure in the industry. I would use the opportunity as a learning experience from one of the greats and make an impactful contribution to the creative process!
I would use the $20,000 to not only pay for my education as a professional dancer and choreographer, but also give a portion to my family, who continue to sacrifice so much to assure I accomplish my aspirations. The last portion, I would put into savings to invest in my future as a performing artist.
