My dance style is rooted in hip hop with a blend of jazz and HBCU flare. My biggest inspiration for dance was my older sister. I grew up tagging along to her dance competitions and shows. From the moment I watched her perform, I instantly knew that I wanted to do the same. Dance has become more than just a passion--it's a powerful release that allows me to express what I'm not able to say with words.
Being part of Ciara’s music video would be a powerful reminder that setbacks don't define me--perseverance does. It would prove to myself and others that with focus, dedication, faith, and hard work, dreams can become reality. Nothing is too hard or impossible for God, and this opportunity would be a testament to His favor over my life and gift of dance.
With the $20,000, I would open my own event space/dance studio for multipurpose use. It will be a safe and inspiring environment for creatives to train, grow, and share their art. This will not only nurture artists, but it will serve as a hub for the community--supporting business owners, non-profit organizations, hosting events, and providing a place where people can come together to create unforgettable experiences.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
