The dance style I target most is freestyle and Hiphop. My body is an instrument. My inspiration for dancing is vocalizing sounds with my mouth, stomping my feet to the beat, and clapping my hands to the rhythm. It’s more than just dancing. There is a deeper connection that involves emotions, which is shown throughout the movement. I allow the music to take control and my body will respond internally. Dancing releases vibrational energy that can fill up the entire room.
Ciara is such a huge inspirational woman, who proved that prayers and having faith in the process will transpire into something beautiful. I’m blessed to seize the moment of becoming a dancer in Ciara’s music video. This can open the door for many dance job opportunities for me to share my love for dance. I can inspire people to never give up on the path that’s meant for them. I am grateful for the incredible impact of being a part of Ciara’s music video!
The $20,000 prize is first going towards my little brother's college tuition savings. Additionally, the prize money is going towards my parents. They helped pay for my dance classes. Even when they didn’t have the money, they still made a way & I’m so thankful for them. I’m giving back by showing my appreciation. Lastly, I am going to invest in myself to pursue my career as a dancer. I am excited & I’m willing to take classes, network and travel!
