I train in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Tap, and Hip Hop. My dance style ranges depending on what class I’m in. My dance inspiration comes from one of my favorite choreographers Andie. She’s toured professionally as a back up dancer with recording artists and her main style of dance is hip hop. She makes hip hop accessible to everyone and thats why I find her so inspirational.
Being in Ciara’s music video would greatly impact my life! Growing up as a Mexican American, there wasn’t a lot of dancers or choreographers that looked like me in my hometown. I want this opportunity so other young dancers in my hometown and elsewhere who look up to me can see that they too can be successful in anything that they put their heart and mind to. Getting the opportunity to fly out to Arizona and perform for Ciara and Jamaica would be life changing!
Growing up I lived with my grandparents for about six years. They couldn’t always afford things for my siblings and I but they always made things work for us. My grandparents have needed to make updates on their home but have never been able to afford it. I would give the 20,000 dollars to my grandparents, so they can make updates on their home and live a more comfortable life like they gave me. They have always done everything for me, and have always supported my dance career.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
