My dancing journey started in small city called Earle, AR. Anywhere from HipHop to voguing, my brother and I would go outside and perform for our neighbors in the projects barefoot, but yet so full of life. I was able to become apart of the majorette and step team in high school, which then led me to become a dancer at my college for a sisterhood called S.H.E. After college, I trained in Memphis, TN in: heels, ballet, contemporary and hip hop.
I remember, vividly in 2006 when the “The Evolution” album came out and I was only about 7 years old. Ciara made me fall in love with dance even more. Promise, from the album, would ring in my head constantly and I would do the wall move that Ciara did and most definitely get in trouble by my mother every single time lol. My mom past away in 2017, when I was 18, and to be able to get this opportunity at 26 yrs old would give me a chance to still show her what a creative child she has
My daughter and I are new to the city of Los Angeles. We have only been here for 6 months. With being a single parent comes a lot of cons, but yet so many pros. It’s hard finding jobs to work around my daughter’s schedule and to make sure I’m there for her on a daily basis. I would take this $20,000 to get a jump start on my me and my daughters life in Los Angeles with getting our first apartment to call home and to help pay off a bit of my debt from making this transition.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
