My dance styles include salsa, Hiphop, commercial dance and acrobatics.Watching the street dancers of NYC with huge smiles on their face while having so much control of their body put a big smile on my face. Growing up I was shy and had a really hard time communicating my emotions. Dance was my outlet, my golden nugget and from then, I knew I never wanted to stop. I was inspired by artists like James Brown, Elvis and Gene Kelly. Artist who were unapologetically themselves and loved their craft.
To be in Ciara's music video would make my biggest life dream come true and alter my brain chemistry all together. I grew up listening to Ciara's music finding my soul leave my body through dance. To do my favorite thing in the world with an inspirational artist would be life changing for me. It's #1 on my dream bucket list. Her music is what made me find my love for dance before I even knew how to dance. This experience would be irreplaceable sharing the stage with amazing individuals.
Would help pay for my mom's surgery to remove biopolymer plastics from her body. This is a surgery she has had done 4 times already but with this new surgery approach, doctors will be able to ensure that no further surgeries are necessary. My mother is my inspiration and the reason I took my first dance class. Being able to compete and win the 20K through this opportunity would be a full circle moment for me being able to provide for her wellbeing while doing what I love and chasing my dreams.
