Tell us about your dance style or inspiration:

I grew up freestyling, my parents couldn’t afford dance classes so at 12 I took my 1st free community hip-hop class & instantly fell in love. Now trained in multiple styles, hiphop remains a favorite for its boundary pushing moves &raw evolving energy. Ciara is a huge impact! Her videos & music shaped my dance journey. The 1st time I showcased my moves to a crowd was at a 4th-grade talent show,dancing to her song,“1,2 step,” at that moment I knew I found my spark

How would being in Ciara's music video impact your life?

This would be life-changing. As a Mexican American woman serving in the U.S. Air Force, I joined to fund my dance education despite financial barriers. Dance has always been my dream, it's all l've ever wanted to do. To be in Ciara's video would be an incredible personal achievement & show others that with determination, you can create your own path, no matter the obstacles. It would be proof that dreams aren't bound by your background/circumstances, they're about resilience & passion.

What would you do with the $20,000?

I’d invest in further training, workshops, & mentorships to grow as a dancer. I’d donate to the Modesto Junior College Dance program, where my dance education journey began, & contribute to a charity that supports arts education for lower-income students. I’d pay off my student loans, fly my family out to Texas to visit since I’m stationed here and I miss them dearly. I’d also show appreciation to my friends and mentors who’ve supported my dreams.
