My dance style would fall into the hip hop category! My inspiration comes from artists such as Chris Brown with his technique of putting the correct amount of umph and energy to a dance. My inspiration would also come from Ciara with her seductive swag. Feeling the song and rocking to not just the words but the beats and the rhythm of it!
Aside from it being surreal to in Ciara’s music video, just getting the opportunity to show off my talent in front of Ciara and everyone along her team. It’s an opportunity for dancers like me around the world that may not have all the necessities to start their dream. This would make a great impact by confirming that God is good and that anything is possible! You just have to have faith and believe!
The first thing I would want to do is see how much out of that could get me into an HBCU (preferably) or any university to achieve other goals I have such as Track and Field. The next Olympics is in 5 years in Los Angeles and I want to make it there! But that’s long term. In short term view , I would put half in a savings account locked away. With the remaining half I would give back to those who gave to me in trying times. I would clear as many debts as possible! Upgrade!
