I started off learning Kpop dances on YouTube when I was about 12 years old. When I got into highschool, I met my dance class teacher who asked me if I was going to tryout for her drill team. At the time, I didn’t know what drill team was so I said no. I decided to go back and have a conversation with her about it and so I tried out. I did not make the team. That only made me work harder and want it more. Eventually I became the first boy on the team at my school.
Ciara was a household name growing up and I’ve always loved her music. This would be an amazing opportunity because it would be an amazing experience. I want to be a choreographer and a backup dancer someday. I feel as though this would open up those doors and get me closer to my goals.
I’m currently in college and just lost my car. My mom is doing all she can to help out where it’s needed. With the $20,000 I’ll be able to take some of the weight off of our situation. I’ll also be able to invest in promotions and marketing for my exposure.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
