Trained in ballet, tap, modern, contemporary, hip hop, jazz and praise dance Currently I am a majorette for my high school band. However, hip hop is my passion. Hip hop give me a chance to express my strong yet silly personality as well as showcase all the techniques I have. Whether it's a pirouette or bucking, being able to show the soft and hard sides of myself shows my versatility . I am a big fan of Ciara and have done a couple of tributes to her on my Instagram page. She is my dance idol.
Wow! To be 15 and dance for someone I have grown up watching and copying my whole life would be the biggest honor. Not to mention, allowing young black girls to see what working hard and following a dream can achieve. I was taught that my talents were to honor God and bring others joy, this is what it would mean.
Honestly, college is around the corner for me and my family and I don't yet know the reality of being able to afford it and what that means. This would help fund my education.
