I grew up training in most styles, including, jazz, tap, ballet, etc. In junior high, I started to attend hip hop based conventions like Monsters of Hip Hop and Noizey of Dancer Palooza. I am now a BFA dance major at the University of Kansas, and I spent my past summer training with Blake McGrath. My dance style has a lot of personalities. I play the part. My dance is confident, playful, clean, and fierce. I will light up the stage and draw the audience/viewers in.
If I was chosen to be in Ciara’s music video it would change my life. Growing up wanting to be a professional dancer, you learn how hard it is to get booked or get noticed. This would be a perfect opportunity to jumpstart my career as a dancer. This is my dream and I am so excited and grateful to be applying to be the next Dance Icon.
If I was awarded the $20,000, I would use some of the money to move to Los Angeles after college. I want to be a professional dancer and work in the industry. It is my dream to be seen in commercials, music videos, and backup on stage. I will attend every audition that gives me the opportunity to work. I’ve spent my whole life training in dance, and my dream has never changed.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
