I am a former HBCU majorette captain at Delaware State University . My style of dance is one of the staples of HBCU culture and can be described as upbeat, energetic movement that complements the sound of the marching band also while incorporating slow sexy movements that embrace and promote feminine energy.I am also a self taught gymnast so I incorporate gymnastics into my style of dancing to put on the most entertaining show I possibly can.
Throughout my time in college I got the opportunity to realize that dance is my one true passion.Ive been dancing my whole life ,but never realized how significant it was to my livelihood. When I was going through my toughest of times,I knew one thing I could turn to was dance.My dream has always been to be on tour with an artist and help put on a memorable performance, so this would be my golden ticket to fulfilling my dreams and my true purpose in life
I would use the $20,000 to open my own dance studio.I am a self taught dancer and gymnast, so growing up I have always wanted to be in dance class.Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity because it was not accessible to us at the time,but that did not stop me from going ten times harder to achieve my dreams.With that being said, I want to be that affordable dance studio that gives the youth an opportunity to to find themselves through dance and the $20,000 would help me achieve that.
