My dance style is versatile often inspired by a mix of contemporary & jazz w/ a touch of sexiness! I enjoy blending smooth, fluid transitions with sharp, dynamic accents to create a balance between grace and power. My inspiration often comes from storytelling, music and nature. I’ve recently stepped into the realm of hip-hop because I am willing to take on the challenge— I love how free yet energetic it looks & feels on other dance artists/groups I’ve been studying!
Community and connection are so important to me and I strongly believe being in Ciara’s music video would highlight just that. The energy and passion exude through her visuals from the past all the way to the present! I will be able to soak up knowledge on the commercial dance industry, step out of my comfort zone and embrace different aspects of dance. To be in a space with other artists who have the same humble mindset as I do, would inspire me more than anything.
I will be using the award to aid in my next step of education to receive my MFA in Dance. My dream is to become a professional dancer, choreographer & director! I forever want to continue to pass on the information I’ve received onto the next generation.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
