My dance Journey all started when my class went on a field trip to see the Alvin Ailey Dance company and as I was watching them dance, I felt so many emotions flow inside of me and from then on, I knew that I wanted dance. Since then I trained in ballet, Modern, Horton, Hip hop, and contemporary. My personal favorites are Hip hop and contemporary because I can really connect with the movements and I can truly express how I feel through the movements.
Being in Ciara's music video would impact my life by being able to dance with her and dancing with other talented dancers. Also it would change my life by gaining more experience with dancing in music videos and with being in a professional environment.
With the $20,000 I would put it towards my college tuition as I am a graduating senior. I applied to many colleges for the arts so I can major in dance and they're pretty expensive so the $20,000 would help me a lot.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
