Hailing from Boston, MA, I bring an aggressive East Coast energy to the dance floor. Trained mainly in hip-hop with brief stints in contemporary, heels, and tap, my movement style is a blend of sensuality, delicacy, and militancy. I am inspired by both pop and hip-hop, studying stars like Tate McRae, Kehlani, Chris Brown, and well, Ciara! One thing people will say about me is that I’m fun to watch. Being in Ciara’s music video would change the trajectory of my dance career. As a full time student, I am eagerly awaiting my Harvard degree so that I can dedicate more time to what makes my heart the most happy: dance. Ciara’s video would help me get my foot in the industry door and make connections with people in the entertainment business. And perhaps more importantly, I could finally prove to my family, my friends, my haters, and myself, that I am a talented dancer.
I would definitely use the majority of the $20,000 to move myself to LA for more dance opportunities post grad. I took a semester off of school this past year to temporarily move to LA for a few months and get a taste of the industry, learn from the best of the best. I loved it and I learned so much, but it was undoubtedly expensive to keep up with, so $20,000 would keep me pretty stable with an apartment and basic daily living expenses for a little while.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
