Starting dance later than most, I drew most of my inspiration to become a professional dancer from the music of my upbringing. As a Cuban American, dance is an inherent part of my culture, and as a New Yorker, hip hop was a naturally profound influence, too.
Ciara has been a dance icon for me since adolescence. 20 years later and I am still 1 2 stepping on wheels. Unlike many artists in her lane, she has stood the test of time creatively and, most importantly, as a human. She embodies every quality of an all around star. Being in her video would only serve to motivate me to help others continue to do the same for themselves and what they love!
As a firm believer in the magic of dance, I would love to return to school to further my education and research in the ways that dance can be utilized to cure a multitude of illnesses, physically and mentally.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
