I am an extremely versatile dancer, who is trained in all styles from hip hop (house, popping, locking, jersey club, etc.) as well as contemporary, ballet, jazz & heels. I am inspired by the dance artists from where I grew up in New York, Jersey & Philly who just dance for the purpose of community and sharing their stories through dance.
Being in Ciara’s music video is any dancers opportunity of a lifetime. Her impact in the entertainment industry is immense. Her music, dance trends and music videos are some that have completely inspired me to take dance into a career. Just recieving this opportunity is a dream come true. Dancing in this video would give me the opportunity to be someone else’s inspiration as the past dancers and artists in her videos have been mine.
With the 20K, I would mainly put it towards giving back to my parents who have guided me to have a beautiful life. From 3 years old to now, they have always supported my dance journey. Through being a little competitive dancer, to studying dance in college, they always made sure that financially and emotionally I was supported. They changed my life and I want to change theirs by sharing this prize with them.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
