I absolutely love jazz, jazz funk and hip hop. My dance style is sassy and high energy. I find inspiration simple from the way the music makes me feel. I also find inspiration from the kids that I teach. They dance from their hearts and are not afraid to step out of their comfort zones which allows me to do the same.
My dream as a teenager was to make a career as a back up dancer on tour with a big star. Now, at 36, I have two kids and find myself behind the scenes teaching and choreographing dance. To fulfill my teenage dream 20 years later would be surreal to say the least. It would prove to myself that anything is possible with a lot of hard work and a dream.
If I won the 20,000 I would help my family climb our way out of debt so that my kids and their future are not impacted by those financial burdens. I want to be able to set my kids up for success and to not have to worry.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
