For majority of my dance career I’ve done a lot of commercial dancing. It wasn’t until I started dancing under Skillz (@iamskillz__ on IG) that I was pushed into different styles of dance. Under him I have a grown not only as a dancer, but as a person. In learning what subgenres speak to me, I’ve developed my own personal style, which fuses fluid movement with a “ratchet” hip hop flow. I honestly loved watching Ciara music videos growing up, and would always mimic her moves in my living room. Last year, I’ve lost quite a few family members and haven’t been dancing as much as I was prior. Not only would being in this video be a dream come true, but I just know that this is where I was meant to be! My passion and my love is dance.
I was unable to finish my last 2 years of college (due to family issues), but i still have loans to pay off. I would use the 20,000 to finish paying off those loans and to fund my last two years as well.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
