My typical dance style is a fusion of Hip-Hop, Majorette, and Jazz. I’m deeply inspired by the way choreography and beats of music collide to tell a story. Dancing allows me to express myself without words, using movement as my voice. My love for dance began when I was 7. I’d create mini routines with my sisters & friends, and I’d constantly recite moves from Beyoncé and Ciara music videos whenever they came on TV.
Being in Ciara’s music video would be a massive step in my career. This opportunity will provide valuable exposure in the dance industry. It will open doors to collaborations with other entities. This music video will also allow me to elevate my portfolio by showcasing my ability to perform at a high level and my versatility in learning professional choreography. Most importantly, being part of this project would validate my hard work and dedication.
If I were to win $20,000 from the music video opportunity, I would invest it back into my growth as a dancer/choreographer. A portion of it would go towards expanding my studio content and upgrading equipment to enhance the quality of my work. I’d also set aside a portion to start building resources for future creative projects, like producing my own dance videos or performances. This prize would help me take my career to the next level while continuing to inspire others through my craft.
