Dancing has been my escape, my joy, and my way of expressing who I am. It all started with my sister, my biggest inspiration. She was a majorette, and I’d watch her every move, waiting for my dad to fall asleep so I could practice in secret. Over time, it wasn’t just copying—I fell in love with it. I’ve always been inspired by icons like Sean Bankhead and Diana Williams, who create opportunities for young dancers and fresh talent. As an educator, it’s my dream to do the same through my own dance company. This opportunity with the phenomenal Ciara would be a dream come true, allowing me to showcase my passion and inspire others.
I plan to use the $200,000 to bring my dream of starting a dance company to life. This would allow me to create opportunities for young people, fulfilling my mission to inspire and uplift through dance.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
