From a young age my mom was my dance teacher, guiding me with support through every step believing in me and pushing me to grow. I trained in all different styles, I developed a deep passion for jazz and hip hop. Watching dancers like Nat Bat and Alaini Walker on Instagram has only fueled my drive, knowing I will be there one day. I want to inspire my generation, Gen Z, everything is in our reach when we put the work in at any age as dancers it’s possible.
Being in Ciara’s music video is a huge milestone in my journey as a professional dancer. As a young artist, it shows that hard work truly pays off. Growing up and listening to her with my mom, having the chance to work with such an incredible artist would be a lifetime achievement to dance and perform with her. This opportunity allows me to showcase my talent and connect with other creative people, proving that when you put in the effort, amazing things happen and dreams become a reality.
With the award money, I would first donate to Direct Relief to immediately help those who have lost their homes due to the LA wildfires. I would also donate to training programs such as TheRoomLa where I had a scholarship with Kolanie Marks. As well as non-profit organizations in KY where I am from. I would not only pay to continue training but to give back so other talented dancers have opportunities.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
