Being on the dance team in high school brought out my passion to communicate with my body. Five years ago, I started with no experience, but watching jazz and hip-hop choreography turned into lots of body control practice. I take a lot of inspiration from my love for K-Pop because the entire song has moves and engaging my face is half of the fun. I love to be smooth while hitting the audience with something unexpected. I think that sharing myself with audiences is a beautiful way to be heard.
I have never been one to take on big opportunities since I grew up very quiet and scared. With this, I’ve decided to try to improve myself while doing what makes me truly feel like myself. The opportunity to directly support such a powerful Grammy-winning female artist sounds way too good and exciting to be true, but as not many opportunities come to my hometown I want to do something that will challenge me to be better in all aspects.
While I would put most of the money into my college education fund, I would also love to put some towards taking more time and classes for dance or music production. As I work towards my associates degree at community college, I struggle to invest time in the things that I’d like to explore for possible future careers, such as dance, singing, and anything performance oriented.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
