There's no limit to what the body can express when the mind, body, and soul are connected. That’s why my favorite style of dance is Interpretive. I was first drawn to this style in grade school when I joined the dance team and discovered the power of movement beyond words. Dance became my language—allowing me to embody emotions, tell stories, and channel personal experiences through every step and gesture. The way music and movement intertwine, it creates a feeling like no other.
This opportunity would be life-changing—not just for me, but for the plus-size community. Too often, talent is overlooked because of size. Winning would prove that dance has no limits and inspire others to pursue their dreams with confidence, no matter their body type. It’s about breaking barriers, owning every space, and showing the world that talent and passion shine beyond appearance.
I’d invest in creating an agency for plus-size men and women, offering courses on body positivity, fashion, health, and beauty. I’d give back to my church, where my love for dance began, and expand my activewear brand for curvy women. Lastly, I’d set aside funds for my nephews’ college education to help support their future.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
