Thank you for supporting me in this competition. Your donations and participation will benefit the Why Not You Foundation in their mission to fight poverty through education initiatives that empower youth to lead with a why not you attitude.
I grew up dancing competitively, so I did a lot of different styles. For 10 years, I competed in the styles of ballet, clogging, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, and tap. I’m inspired by being able to lose myself in the movements and let go of any negativity I’m feeling at the time.
Being able to display my talents for an artist like Ciara and share my passion with the world would be a dream come true. I could finally pursue the arts, which was seen as a “pipe dream” and “impractical” growing up in my community.
I would donate some of the money to organizations that are fighting against climate change, as well as to some research studies (I currently work in clinical research). I would also pay off some loans and store some in a savings account. Finally, I would get my father the rehabilitation he never received after his stroke over 15 years ago, and help my parents so they can FINALLY retire in peace.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
