My inspiration comes from a woman I used to dance with. When she told me she had two children, I was shocked. It changed the mindset I had about what a mom could do. I told myself when I became a mom, I wanted to show others you could go for those hidden dreams you have. I get to show young women how incredible you can feel after having children. Show older folks, those dreams you thought you were to old for you can have as well. GO FOR IT.
It would remind me/ show me, that everything I went through, it all leads to something good. Good,kind people do win. Even if it takes longer. ADHD, dyslexia,& an autoimmune couldn’t stop me. I would show the world that ADHD is a super power and that they too will overcome their pain or sickness, That you can be successful. I was 14, when I attempted suicide. I am so thankful it didn’t work. I want others to know they are wanted. They are needed. They are meant to be here too.
I would use a portion of the 20,000 to pay my dance/cheerleaders/ fund supplies for my team, and local youth dance programs. I would use 8,000 of it to help fund “No Athlete Left Behind” a program that I started that supports athletes who are trying to go professional who need financial help. I would put 4,000 into a reserve for people over 50 on limited income who want to learn a new hobby. (Painting etc) Then I would use the rest to help a local football coach get a working car.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
