Dancing is therapeutic. I dance to feel and to release. Dancing is art. Dancing is an expression. An expression to be free, the ability to release emotions, and to be myself. I’ve been dancing since I came out of my mother womb. From dancing, to cheering at a young age to even cheering/dancing in college. I started a Youth Dance group that competed in dance competitions. My love for dance continued on to my two beautiful daughters. They have inspired me to live out my dream.
Being in Ciara’s music video will impact my life because it will allow me to impact the lives of people in my community by showing them that believing is achieving and with determination, dreams do come true. It will show others that regardless of age, gender, race, or socioeconomic status anything is possible.
I will donate it to my nonprofit H. E. A. L. ( Helping Everyone Achieve Life Skills) Community Center that focuses on life skills including financial literacy, home economics, creative arts, mentoring, academic tutoring, independent living skills and much more. This community center is geared towards the “at risk” population in several counties.
