I like to think of myself as a versatile dancer. I have been technically trained growing up in ballet, modern, tap, contemporary, pointe, and hip hop. Through all of those styles, I have been able to combine them to formulate my very own. I would describe it as a flowy, controlled, groove. I picked up heels training a few years ago and that allows me to utilize the very technical training I grew up with! Along with training with mentors, taking master/industry classes allows me to dive deeper!
Ciara has always been my sis! Its rare we have artists that highlight dancers, and dancing. She came to the scene as a singer but when you see her, you will surely add dancer right along with her title! She gets the drive that is needed in the dance world and applauds dancers to keep going. I'm currently a teacher but an aspiring dancer and have been training to get to moments and opportunities like these! Teaching isn't the end goal. A full-time dancer, my passion is where I am heading!
If I were to win the money, there are a couple of things I would like to see happen. I have been trying to buy a house, however the housing market isn't set up to help young black women in debt with a teaching job. The money will give me enough leeway to put a downpayment on a house. I also would like to pay off some of my school debt and of course my mama has to be taken care of in some way for always being my number one supporter to reach for my dreams!
