Dance is my heartbeat, my passion, my art. I excel in hip hop and majorette, blending street energy with cheer precision. Icons like Usher, Ciara, Beyonce have shaped my style and fueled my determination and formed that dramatic animated diva side of me when I dance. Usher's smooth moves and dynamic stage presence inspired my performance technique. Ciara's fearless creativity powerful routines mentally and physically helped me to embrace pushing boundaries and to just do and be myself and dance!
Being in Ciara's music video would impact my life in multiple ways. This opportunity is already inpacted my life. Due to the fact that I'm almost a senior in school and it's almost time to apply to colleges, all I ever wanted was to make my talent known. As a self taught dancer, I feel like people don't really see me as an experienced dancer as majority of my life I taught myself in my room. Dance is a way of life! Due to this opportunity I can showcase my skills and leave my mark out there!!
If I win the $20,000 I would save it up for college tuition and other fees that I might need to cover for college. Furthermore, I would invest in events that could help me even more with my dancing, like dance workshops. Whether I win the money or not , I am just happy God is giving me the chance to let the world know who I am. Who Lacy Goodjoint is!!
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
