My personal dance style can best be described as majorette. Majorette not only combines energy with skill but also expresses your inner diva in way that no other dance style does. But along with majorette I have also had years of experience in hiphop and recently joined my colleges dance team and started learning tap, jazz, contemporary, and even ballet. But I feel like my biggest inspiration to dance is to be authentic to myself because dance helps me express me authentically.
Being in Ciara's music video would be life-changing. It’s an incredible opportunity to prove that with God and determination, anything is possible. Born clubfooted, I struggled with healing as a child and was told my tendons couldn’t handle the strength needed for dance. Despite this, I pushed through and stayed determined. Being in this video would show others that, even against the odds, they can achieve their dreams.
If I was to win the $20,000 I would Donate a good portion of out back to my college's dance department. As a small college we don't have big facilities or largely known dance instructors. But Mrs. Nancy Anderson who has been on broadway came to Mary Baldwin University and shaped the dance department to create amazing dancers and give the gift of joy to all even starting a program for our visually impaired students. So if I won the $20,000 I would help Nancy with her goal to better the department
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
