My dance style is pretty broad under the umbrella of hip hop dance. I love grooving to house styles, and popping styles. But I also love how grounded Afro-Caribbean dance styles are. I will say whenever I hear a good beat or track, I’ll dance instantly.
Being in Ciara’s music video will just be another way to spread joy and representation in the dance community. So many dancers come from many backgrounds and all look different. I hope I can share my love and positivity for my community and inspire other dancers to do the same.
What I would do with the $20,000 is to invest in my future. I would use some to pay my postsecondary tuition, and invest rest into saving for properties. With my money growing over time. I will find a creative way to give back the same way my community has given to me, love and support.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
