I'd like to say i do a mixture of all styles; focusing on Contemporary, Modern, & Jazz/Jazz Funk. Whatever style I am doing there has to be a story in it, weather it is the choreographer that tells me or I create it in my head. I would say some of my inspirations are the students I get to teach. They inspire me to become better, to chase my dreams, and they remind me to dance for myself. Also, my colleagues; I am so blessed to be able to dance with some beautiful humans in the Phoenix.
I feel as it would open opportunities to me that I don't always have the chance of taking. This is an opportunity that I can take without having to leave the work that I am doing. It would also be great experience for me that I can bring back to my students and talk to them about how everything went and what I have learned. This can also impact me by allowing me to network with other dancers and learn their stories and see how we can collaborate.
As a new dance studio owner it is hard to get the funds for the studio. This will help by giving me some ease that I can make the studio bills and personal bills without having to worry about skipping something. Working multiple jobs it is hard to still keep all these bills paid in time. Rather than just keeping my dream up, it will also allow the studio to flourish for multiple dancers in the valley; especially our little family that we have at the studio.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
