My dance style is a mix of hip hop and contemporary. I love to push boundaries and I’m fascinate by versatility of both genres. Combining the two and/or performing them separately are my passions. My inspiration comes from many different facets. Inspiration ignites from not only all the dance movies from the 2000’s I watched growing up and all the dancers on IG/Reels, but also from streetwear fashion and multiple mediums of physical art!
Being in Ciara’s music video would impact my life in a monumental way. Accomplishing my first “I really made it” milestone. It would feel like my hard work is finally paying off. The recognition of my hard work by being selected for this would not only help my battle with my mental image of myself, but be a moment for the young dancers I teach that anyone no matter what body type/mental struggle/etc. you’ve gone through, that you are worth and deserve greatness.
The $20,000 would help me pay off my medical bills as I have struggled with a neurological disorder starting in my late teens. I would also give my father and mother back some money for all the support they gave me and continue to give me. As their oldest daughter, I feel I owe this to them!
