My preferred dance style is hip hop but I am trained in ballet, hip hop, jazz, contemporary, majorette, and street jazz. My inspiration are groups like the royal family dance crew and dancers like Momo from the k-pop girl group twice, choreographers Todd Williamson, ririrealness, dancers who pop up on my feed.
Being in Ciara’s music video as one of her dancers would propel my career and give me experience in the industry. It would mean my parents would see me living out my dreams and calm their worries. It would show them that dance has career paths I can make a living from . It would show them that reality doesn’t have to be separate from your dreams.
With the 20,000 I would put some of it towards school and start my education, I would take maybe 500-1000 for myself, and give the rest to my parents. While I was the one who did the competition, my parents watered my love for dance over the years and helped it to grow into what it is now. They loved me unconditionally and have raised me in a way I am most grateful for. Therefore, they should get some of the money as well.
