My dance style is street lyrical, which consists of fluid, expressive lyrical/contemporary movements paired with sharp and precise hip-hop movements with a dash of Latin spice: samba, salsa, merengue, and bachata and a sprinkle of twerk if I want to razzle your dazzle. Inspiration-wise, icons who inspired me broke new ground: George Balanchine, Martha Graham, & Michael Jackson, as they all created something fresh and unexpected and, to this day, are still influential.
I would "Level Up," pun always intended. I have been in local music videos, so being in Ciara's would be a massive milestone for me to showcase my talent on a global stage by pushing my boundaries and expanding my dance repertoire and creative growth. Also, on a personal note, it would be a clapback to my ex-boyfriend, who I opened a dance studio with, helped him build from the ground up, only to get cheated on, and he and the homewrecker with no dance experience ran me out of business
I would use it to invest in opening and owning a dance studio because it has always been a lifelong dream. Instead of using people to accomplish it, I am sticking to my character, values, morals, hard work, and dedication to make it happen. Since I don't plan on having kids, a dance studio is my way of creating and building a generational legacy, inspiring new generations of dancers, and a testament to my lifelong work, purpose, and vision & fulfilling my supportive parents' return on invest
