I make my dance style versatile by utilizing both street and concert foundations to my physical advantage. I have trained extensively within both industries which has helped me create a contemporary fusion style that is unique to my expertise. I am always finding inspiration through my peers and mentors within the multitude of communities I involve myself in. As one of the many Gen Z children that grew up with their parents blasting her songs on the radio throughout the early to mid 2000’s, to then dancing to her songs 20 years later through various dance classes, I have had an artistic connection to her music for decades. The opportunity to dance with others like me that admire Ciara is already a great life fulfillment, so dancing next to her would be the highlight of my life rather than just my career.
I would prioritize the prize money towards honoring the people who have supported my artistic endeavors for so many years, my parents. They financially supported me through my full 4 years college so I could earn my Bachelors degree. In addition to their full time careers as nurses, they took on extra jobs so they could see me fulfill my career dreams of pursuing dance. To this day they still continue to work day and night shifts to financially support my younger sister in college as well.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
