My Style is classically trained with a rhythmic soul and the need to groove. My movement is heavily influenced by tap dancing and the culture that surrounds it from the stylistic legends like Sammy Davis Jr to the hard hitting hoofers like Chloe and Maud Arnold. That has lead me into studying under Crystal Frazier and working with Candace Brown and Maud Arnold once, and I would love to work like that again. All these inspirations influence not only my movement but also my performance!
Being in Ciara’s music video would give me the start I need to be seen in the commercial realm! I would love to have the chance to show how capable I am, and that I can step up to the plate! My dreams are to reach music videos, backup dancing on tours, Film and television, and Broadway, and this would be a dream start to launch me toward those goals!
I would use the $20,000 to help pay back my student loans for the wonderful education I received at Point Park University. It’s hard to try to strive for your dreams in the entertainment industry while paying back student debt, but I continue to persevere because it’s what I love to do! I love to dance and perform! Receiving $20,000 would make attaining my dreams that much closer to being tangible.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
