I have been dancing since I was 6 years old up until graduating high school, and have been teaching at my former studio since. Any chance I get to take a class I jump at the opportunity. I went to an arts high school and focused in dance and performing. My inspirations are all around me whether it’s my teachers, fellow dancers, dancers on social media, and even myself- as I’m always pushing myself to be better. My favorite styles are contemporary, jazz, and hip hop.
As you can tell, dance has always been a huge part of my life. I just recently graduated college, but deep down I know I want to pursue dance. This would be my first professional dance job and could kickstart a career in dance for me. Dance has always felt like a distant dream but this could make that dream a reality.
With this money, I would put it towards making my dreams of dancing come true. I could travel to auditions, purchase new dancewear, or even move out of my small hometown to LA or NYC. I would also use some to pay for college loans.
The search is on for eight dancers to be flown to a live judged event in Phoenix, AZ, showcasing their skills to Ciara and her choreographer, Jamaica Craft. One will be chosen to appear in her upcoming music video and win $20,000!
