My dance style is mostly contemporary and hip hop. My biggest dance inspiration since I was young was Misty Copeland. She inspired me to be creative and brave. In elementary school, I did a report on Misty Copeland and was able to learn everything I could about her. Ever since doing that report, Misty Copeland inspired me to always strive to be the best even when people may doubt you! Dance is not an easy career path and she showed me to fight for the goals I want to achieve.
Being in Ciara’s music video would help me jump start my dance career and open up many new opportunities for me in the dance world. Being able to perform with such an inspiring artist like Ciara would help me make my first big debut in the dancing community. This chance would be the biggest achievement of my dance career so far and help me move further.
With the $20,000 I would put it towards my career goal of opening my own dance studio and spreading my love of dance to younger generations. Although I do enjoy dancing myself and want to do it for as long as I can, I know my dancing body will not last forever. Due to this my end goal is my own studio. I want my future studio to be accepting of everyone despite age, race, disability, etc. My main goal in life is to make the dance world more loving and accepting.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Entrepreneur of Impact, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
